Long-time art student, Kristopher M. is our March 2023 Student of the Month! Kristopher was one Pastimes‘ founder/instructor Linda Wehrli‘s youngest students when he began lessons at only 5-years-old! He began with private 30-minute lessons and has since graduated to 1-hour group art classes. And did we mention he’s now only 9-years-old? 
Kristopher has completed the first segment of Graphite 101, completed Oil Pastel 101, and is now enrolled in Watercolor 201.
Kristopher, proudly displaying his latest watercolor sunflower tone study donning a hat he created on his own. Adorable! 
As Student of the Month, Kristopher is awarded a Virtual Solo Art Showcase and featured here on Pastimes’ blog. On display are Kristopher’s 14 works in Oil Pastel and Watercolor. Captivating drawings and paintings of landscapes, animal portraits, still life, florals and architecture are mounted on virtual walls inside a chic warehouse-style gallery. Kristopher requested classical music to accompany guests visiting his exhibit. Linda chose Handel’s Sonata Opus 1 No. 11 Allegro. Selections from the show are displayed below.
