June 2026 Student of the Month • Alex H.
Joining us all the way from Washington State via Zoom, Alex H. has been studying with Founder/Instructor Linda Wehrli for the past two years. Through dedication, curiosity, and consistent practice, she has developed an impressive body of work that showcases her stunning oil pastel paintings. We’re thrilled to celebrate Alex as our Student of the Month and invite you to view her stunning virtual gallery.
Her black-and-white oil pastel drawings demonstrate a strong sense of tone, while her colorful oil pastel pieces showcase a confident use of color and expression.
Over the years, Alex has developed a strong artistic foundation, completing the following courses:
As our Student of the Month, Alex is awarded a Virtual Solo Art Showcase with a feature here on Pastimes’ blog. Inside a chic, warehouse-style gallery, you’ll find Alex’s 10 stunning oil pastel drawings. Think: striking portraits, tranquil seascapes, expressive animal studies, still lifes, florals, and architectural scene – all thoughtfully curated into one engaging exhibit.
And because great art deserves a great soundtrack, Alex chose the song Waltz for Debby by Bill Evans performed by Bill Evans to accompany the journey.
We’ve highlighted a few standout pieces below, but don’t stop there! Her full Virtual Gallery is where the magic really unfolds.
Alex, thank you for inspiring us with your creativity and commitment. We can’t wait to see what you create next!
P.S. Want to own a piece of Alex’s work? Originals and prints are available. Just reach out to Jessica@pastimesinc.com, and we’ll put you in touch with the student artist directly.
