Our August blog calendar is sizzling hot with our Student of the Month feature! We’re honoring the accomplishments of longtime art student Melise G., who began studying at our studio in 2019 with veteran instructor, Linda Wehrli. She is currently enrolled in the Chalk Pastel 102 Course and excels at this medium (which is not easy to use!)
Residing in Altadena, Melise is currently enjoying our Zoom Art Class option.
Melise has completed the following courses: Graphite 101, Graphite 102, and Chalk Pastel 102.

As Student of the Month, Melise is awarded a Virtual Solo Art Showcase and featured here on Pastimes’ blog. On display are Melise’s 19 works in Chalk Pastel and Graphite. Captivating paintings of portraits, seascapes, animal portraits, still life, florals and architecture are mounted on virtual walls inside a chic warehouse-style gallery. She chose Colors/Dance by George Winston to accompany guests visiting her exhibit.Selections from her online showcase are displayed below.
