I was ecstatic to learn that Arcadia Contemporary‘s first exhibition at their new Culver City location will feature graphite and charcoal work from my favorite artists! The aim of the exhibit was to portray that fine art and skill of draftsmanship is alive and well in the contemporary art world. “Drawn to Greatness” opening reception was held on Saturday, September 17 from 5 – 8PM at Arcadia’s new, trendy Downtown Culver City location.
Not only is the exhibition unique in its display of imagery, but also in the diversity of the artists participating. George A. Morton, a contributing artist, developed his art practice in prison and became a master of his craft! Others, such as Casey Baugh and Jeremy Lipking, share their mastery techniques by hosting workshops to benefit other emerging artists.

The exhibition featured works by the following master artists: Johan Barrios, Casey Baugh, Daniel Bilmes, Kerry Brooks, Ryan Brown, Michael Chapman, Daniel Coves, Amaya Gurpide, Jennifer Knaus, Jeremy Lipking, Michal Lukasiewicz, Sverre Malling, Gregory Mortenson, George A. Morton, Miguel Angel Moya, Annie Murphy-Robinson, Brad Overton, Karla Ortiz, Julio Reyes, Mario Robinson, Ryan Salge, Jordan Sokol, Dorian Vallejo and John Wentz.

I was there and saw this incredible art. And what a pleasure it was to meet some of these master artists in person, so gracious and humble. I look forward to the October exhibit at Arcadia.
So glad you enjoyed it as much as I did!
These are so beautiful! Thank you for sharing.
