April 29 and 30, 2017 marked Pastimes for a Lifetime’s 22nd Annual Outdoor Student Art Showcase. This year we had the honor of displaying at the 15th Annual Downtown Burbank Arts Festival! It was our second year exhibiting at this great venue organized by West Coast Artists California Fine Arts Festivals.

Thirty-one selected art students exhibited beautiful works in graphite, colored pencil, oil pastel, watercolor, acrylic and oils.

Founder/Instructor, Linda Wehrli presented exhibitors with Certificates of Merit. Photos were taken for their portfolios and sharing with family and friends.

It was exciting for the students to show their artwork alongside 100 acclaimed artists and artisans. This European-inspired street festival has great outdoor dining and entertainment in a festive downtown setting. The event was free, including free parking and open to the public.

Pastimes for a Lifetime will be back next year with an even bigger student art showcase.

Special thanks to office manager, Jessica Lee Sanders for her behind-the-scenes detail work in ensuring a successful show, before, during and after. Thanks also to my art student, Sophia H., her mom and sister for assisting with tear down at the end of the show.

Art Scene covers eclectic art events and locales.
