April 16 and 17, 2016 marked Pastimes for a Lifetime’s 21st Annual Outdoor Student Art Showcase. This year we had the honor of displaying at the 14th Annual Downtown Burbank Arts Festival!
Thirty-eight selected art students exhibited beautiful works in graphite, colored pencil, oil pastel, watercolor, acrylic and oils. Founder/Instructor, Linda Wehrli presented exhibitors with Certificates of Merit. Photos were taken for their portfolios and to share with family and friends.
It was exciting for the students to show their artwork alongside 100 acclaimed artists and artisans as well as world-class animators and illustrators from the CTN Road Trip Burbank. This European-inspired street festival has great outdoor dining and entertainment in a festive downtown setting. The event was free and open to the public.
Two students, Bailey Eubanks and Alexander Vallecillos received offers on their artwork! Very exciting.

Bailey Eubanks • Oil Pastel

Alex Vallecillos • Watercolor
Pastimes for a Lifetime will definitely be back next year with an even bigger student art showcase.
Special thanks to office manager, Jessica Lee Sanders for her behind-the-scenes detail work in ensuring a successful show, before, during and after. Thanks also to students Dorothy Gamoning and Ginny LIeberman for assisting with the art installation early Saturday morning. The muffins and pastries brought by Ginny were a nice addition to the sign-in table.
Art Scene covers eclectic art events and locales.
