Art Scene :: Regina Lyubovnaya Pop Up Show

December 28, 2016 Art, Blog, Featured 1 Comment

It was a treat to receive an invitation to attend a pop-up art show by one of my favorite oil painters of all time, Regina Lyubovnaya.

Instead of hosting her show at the 2017 L.A. Art Show, she displayed her latest works at her lovely West Los Angeles home. Each painting reveals mastery in technique and palette. I always learn so much just from gazing at her work.

From what I understand, as of 2017 the L.A. Art Show will no longer be exhibiting works of traditional images. The organization has limited its exhibition to contemporary images. That is a shame, in my humble opinion, not just in the missed opportunity to show, but to know thousands of viewers will not be able to view and be inspired by Regina’s work. My hope is that this blog will reach a few more readers who would have enjoyed viewing her work and provide a taste of what would have been exhibited. I encourage you to learn more about this artist or even consider collecting her work.

In addition to the featured photograph above, below are just some of the remarkable paintings that were on display at Regina’s pop up art show.

It was great fun to visit with Regina and her hubby in their lovely home. She graciously opened up her home studio so we could take a peak inside her workspace.
